Life with the Bs

Two months

Asa 2 months

Stats: 8lbs, 14oz and 21.5 inches.  Asa took a full 6 weeks to get back to birth weight.  But once we started Zantac for reflux, he started to really gain.

Likes: Nursing, being swaddled, learning to like naps

Dislikes: Holidays.  He cried most the day on Thanksgiving and Christmas.  Then ended up in the ER on New Years Eve with a fever.  Holidays only come around so often and he doesn’t hate his car seat anymore so that’s good news!

Eating: Asa nurses every 3, sometimes 2, hours during the day.  He eats every 3 – 4 hours (5 hours a handful of times) at night.

Sleeping:  He has established a bedtime of around 8pm.  I wake him for a dream feed around 10 or 11.  So far it’s not carrying him through the night but he’s been sick so I hope we will get there soon.  He is doing better about napping during the day.  It’s not a fight as much as it used to be.

Asa had 12 doctor and 2 emergency room visits in his two months of life outside the womb.  Talk about a rough start!  He went from slow to gain weight to being diagnosed with reflux to getting bronchiolitis and RSV.  Here’s to a healthy 2016!
