We had to put our almost 13 year old boxer to sleep this week. The life expectancy of a boxer is about 10 years so we saw this coming for awhile and I thought I was prepared but I wasn’t prepared at all. It was so hard to say goodbye to Baxter. He was one of the first things that Tim and I did together. We got him the year before we got married so he was with us through one wedding, two homes, and two children. His life changed dramatically when he became a brother, no more doggy daycare or visits to the PetSmart Santa. He was a great with the kids and always watched out for them. He was born before the digital age so this is a best I can do with his puppy pictures.
It’s been a rough week! Our memories of Baxter will live on and maybe one day we will be ready to add another four legged friend to the family.
