Sports

CAM00411We got to go to a Braves game with a former neighbor/friends last night.  It was nice to have a weeknight date!

CAM00409I ran to Target on my lunch break yesterday and happened to find these on clearance for $4.50!  I really think my show of spirit helped the Braves win!  Yes, I have a foot picture on my blog.  Tim has a fit over all the feet pictures on Facebook.  He calls it Feetbook 🙂

CAM01034Janie is loving softball!  My mother in law took her to practice last night and said that she did a great job as catcher.  I can’t wait for the games to start!

FabKids Review

I got a coupon for a free FabKids outfit from Citrus Lane so I figured why not give them a try!  You enter some info on your child and they they put outfits together based on the info that you provided.  I let Janie pick the outfit….

It came with the dress, leggings and headband.  Pretty good deal for $4.95 shipping!  The outfit arrived today and it’s adorable!  The dress is very thick material, for winter wear here in Georgia.  She will be able to pair the leggings with other shirts and dresses as well.  The headband is really cute and a girl can never have too many accessories!

CAM01032Outfits are $40 and they send a an e-mail with an outfit suggestion each month.  You can choose to pass on the outfit if you wish.  If you use my link, you can get 50% off your first outfit.  You can cancel at any time and there is no limit to the number of outfits that you can pass on.  I think I’m going to keep my subscription for a month or two to see what I think of their suggestions.

Where do babies come from?

I didn’t expect to get this question from Nolan for a long time!  But yesterday out of the blue this was our conversation:

Nolan: “Mommy, how did I get out of your belly?”

Me: “Well, I went to the hospital and the doctor got you out.”

Nolan: “But how?”

Me: Red-faced and panic-stricken.

Janie: “Nolan, they opened up Mommy’s back and took you out.”

And then he saw a tent on the side of the road and the subject was changed.  I’m so thankful to Janie for having all the answers.  I think I will direct questions to her from now on!

I want it painted black

(Tim sang my title song while painting)

When I saw these doors on Honey We’re Home, I had to try it.  The door to our basement is in our living room and I knew it would look great in black.  We used Behr Stealth Jet.  It’s not a stark black, it’s got some brown in it and even looks grey at some angles.

basementdoorI was so happy with the way that it turned out that we Tim painted the pantry door the next day.  The little hand prints will be easy to hide now!  I forgot to get a before picture so you get Janie, the bear.

pantrydoorI was worried that it would be too dark since our kitchen is red but I think it looks so much better than that bright white door.  Thanks for the inspiration, Megan!

Midweek Randoms

d6569-inthiswonderfullifemidweekrandomsHappy Wednesday!

Nolan had “dress like what you want to be when you grow up” day at school last week.  He chose to be a super hero firefighter.  Firefighters are super heroes so I guess it works.

CAM01010Janie had her first softball practice last night and she loved it!  I really hope we found her sport.

As mentioned, we did some painting this weekend.  Tim was wearing a Benjamin Moore shirt and painting with Behr paint.  Isn’t that like wearing a Nike shirt and Adidas shoes?  Such a rebel!

Summer 2013 036I just started using Ibotta in the last month and have already earned over $20 on grocery purchases.  It’s really easy to use, just choose the offers you like, purchase the products, take a picture of your receipt and scan the product bar code.  If you use my link, you get $10 if you redeem 5 offers in the first two weeks.  Some stores have special offers.  I knew that I needed one more offer from Target to get a bonus.  I brought a breakfast burrito on sale for $1, got $.50 back on my purchase and got a $2 bonus.  So I they paid me $1.50 to buy a burrito!

I can’t get enough of this boy in his PreK uniform.  How cute are those plaid shorts!

I’m back!

I finally got my laptop back!  Luckily, I got it in right before the one year warranty was up.

To recap the last few weekends, imagine Seattle.  I’ve never been but lots of clouds and rain is how I picture it and that pretty much describes Georgia this summer.

We made it to Stone Mountain but it rained on and off all day.  Luckily, it was dry during the laser show.

Summer 2013 006c Summer 2013 026This is how the children pass time while waiting for the laser show to start.

I know I said I was done with the house updates but I was inspired by this post so I have one more update to show you this week.
