Life with the Bs

Penicillin, Pool and Popsicles

Today is brought to you by the letter P 🙂  Nolan had an allergic reaction to penicillin this weekend.  His eyes and lips swelled.

CAM00949We just took him up the pharmacy and they replaced it with something else that I haven’t heard of.  So far so good though!

Since we couldn’t go tubing, we headed to the pool.  The kids got to use the airplanes that Nolan got from my parents for his birthday.  Nolan used this as rest time.

CAM00952We went to a friend’s pool on Sunday and Janie jumped off the diving board!  We were so proud of her!  Not only would she jump off the diving board, instead of taking the easy route to the ladder, she would swim across the whole pool to the shallow end.  Popsicles for everyone!

CAM00953We also had a double date night with friends, got a new couch (more on that later) and went school supply shopping.  I got Janie a super cute backpack for $2.99, score!

Anyone here from Jenna’s Journey, welcome!  You can find out more about us at the About Us page.  Hope you stick around!

  1. Poor little guy! I hope he’s feeling better soon!

Thanks for stopping by my blog! I’m looking forward to following along here!

  2. Yikes, that penicillin reaction looks miserable!! My husband is supposedly allergic to penicillin. He always says ‘supposedly’ because he doesn’t think he’s ever HAD it and doesn’t know why his mom says he’s allergic. My guess is that she probably didn’t just invent it…probably had something like Nolan and he just doesn’t remember! I tell him to keep on writing it on his med forms, just in case!! Glad Nolan was able to get something else!

  3. Hope Nolan is feeling better! I would be jumping for joy if I found a back pack for $2.99!! 🙂 Taylor smiled when she heard that JC, Karson and Janie were in class together. She said that it will be a fun class! 🙂 Miss you all! Wish you guys the best on the first day of school!

    • Thanks! Walgreens had in their Sunday ad that backpacks were $2.99. I made it there Sunday night and they had 3 left on the shelf! Luckily, she had the one that I wanted in the back. It looks like a pretty study backpack too! Yes, those three in class together could be trouble. They’re excited though! We miss you guys too. Enjoy the rest of your summer!

  4. Stopping by from Jenna’s! Your kids are adorable! Our daughter had an allergic reaction to penicillin when she was 6 months old. It was scary! I’m glad you guys were able to catch it before it caused big problems for your guy! Now, even the nursery workers know she’s allergic to penicillin. This Momma is taking no chances with that again!
